A brilliant collision of fun and high-performance
There aren’t many bikes in this world that perform as well in the ‘fun’ category as they do the ‘race’ category, but the Trailfox is one of those rare exceptions. Originally designed for the Enduro World Series racing circuit for BMC's Factory Trailcrew Team, the Trailfox has quickly become a crowd-pleaser among non-racers. The 150mm pedal-focused 29er makes quick work of climbs and lets riders fully embrace the ‘fun’ side of the hill. With a long font-center and short chainstays, the progressive Big Wheel Concept geometry makes for an awesome day on rugged terrain.
APS - Advanced Pivot System
No compromises - APS suspension technology allows you to pedal hard, brake fast, and soak up bumps without compromise.
Kinematics: 1 Obstacles: 0
Creating a full-suspension platform is nothing short of rocket science – a balancing act of great pedaling efficiency, unimpeded braking, small and big bump compliance, and a nice serving of fun and playful handling. BMC's solution is the Advanced Pivot System (APS), which optimizes pivot locations for ideal kinematics and results in purposeful leverage ratios, axle paths, and shock performance characteristics. The reward is a World-Champion proven system capable of cross-country racing, all-mountain ripping, and everything in between.
A well-designed full suspension bike
A well-designed full suspension bike offers the control and confidence to ride any trail without hesitation. Traction, control and efficiency are the top priorities with APS and we use a series of simulation supercomputers to ensure each discipline of riding gets the perfect balance of performance metrics so riders have the experience they expect every day on the trail. BMC believes it should also be durable, tuneable for any rider and serviceable in a short amount of time. APS relies on two very short links, moving in a concentric motion, to create a rear wheel axle path that promotes a perfect balance of leverage ratio, fully-active braking performance, pedal kickback and efficiency, and small bump sensitivity.
The result is a light, stiff and compact structure that promotes excellent control and energy transfer for the rider.
Suspention designed to soak up the bumps - not pedaling power
Stay fresh, stay powerful and stay sharp with engineered fatigue reduction
Awesome suspension kinematics means improved suspension performance - pick your line and ler the bike fo the rest
BWC- Big Wheel Concept
Agility & stability - Purposeful geometry and cockpit design means our 29" bikes are nimble, stable and incredibly efficient.
More than big wheels
It takes a lot more than just adding bigger wheels to fully capture the benefits of the 29er. And for that reason, the transition to bigger wheels has, for many brands, proven incredibly difficult. But BMC's progressive Big Wheel Concept created a totally new way of thinking, from axle to axle, and has set us apart from the rest. More control, more comfort, more confidence and a whole lot more speed, the 29er and BWC are the past, present and future of big wheels.
Big Wheel Concept is much more involved than a wheel diameter; it’s a philosophy, a mindset, a strategic approach to geometry and handling characteristics to make 29er bikes ride intuitively. When the transition to 29” wheels started catching fire, their engineers realized quickly that the entire bike, from handlebar to rear triangle, had to be redesigned and re-evaluated. The end result is a multi-faceted approach: position the rider in an ideal space for traction and control, create the perfect cockpit for confidence, and rethink geometry until the bike is fast, fearless and nimble.
Perfect chainstay length, maximum bottom bracket drop and a short stem all create a bike stem all create a bike atat works with the rider, not against them.
With a larger contact patch, 29" wheels are known for stability and predictability - BMC takes things further with a purposeful geometry and cockpit.
Specific geometry designs to compliment big wheels means awesome rider control
Keep it rolling - 29er wheels roll fast up or down
Stay confident, fast and maneurvable in the tight stuff

The aggressive demands of all-mountain riding demand a maneuverable machine, with a confidence-inspiring feel when screaming down high-speed descents. A long top tube, slack head tube angle and a wide bar paired with short stem and chainstays is BMC's recipe for making big wheels roll fast and turn easily. The entire Trailfox family is built upon this super progressive approach to all-mountain geometry - enduro-ready from the first ride.
At BMC BMC believes that off-road bikes are deserving of the classic ‘showpiece’ designation that bike lovers admire. BMC's engineers worked magic by making the Speedfox one of the most adaptable frame platforms. Another trail bike with legendary aesthetics.
BMC's Advanced Pivot System (APS) for the Trailox family is focused on pedaling efficiency and elevated bike control. Wait, an all-mountain bike that pedals well? Yep, that’s right! Their BMC Factory Trailcrew riders wanted to be able to pedal efficiently so they can stay fresh between trail-tearing sessions. For riders who pedal up the climbs so they can bomb back down them this rig is the answer.
